Lisa Stern Memorial Pancake Breakfast
7-10 a.m., Poulin-Turner Union Hall, 653 Waterville Rd.
Featuring locally sourced foods including homemade whole-grain pancakes from Lisa Stern’s famous secret recipe, Somerset County maple syrup, free-range sausage, fresh fruit, and local beverages. $6 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under. Please note the new location: Poulin-Turner Union Hall, 653 Waterville Road. Sponsored by Animal Medical Clinic.

Maple Gauntlet
9-11 a.m.
This 5K challenge is the ultimate test of that good ol’ Mainer moxie. Where else can you run (or walk—you do you, bub) along the scenic Kennebec River AND stuff your face with not just any whoopie pies, but whoopie pies made with Somerset County’s claim to fame: maple syrup?!

Maple Leaf Hunt
9 a.m.-3 p.m., Downtown Skowhegan
Pick up a checklist at The Bankery (87 Water St.), search for maple leaves hidden in downtown businesses, and turn in your completed list to be entered into a drawing for a prize.

Sap & Syrup Shuttle
11 a.m.-2 p.m., Municipal Lot (between Commercial and High streets)
Hop on the free Sap & Syrup Shuttle to visit local maple farms. Sponsored by AtWork Personnel Services.

Live Chainsaw Carving Show
11 a.m.-2 p.m., Riverfront Lot (behind Water Street)
See local chainsaw artist Dan Burns put on an amazing show! Watch as he crafts logs into intricate works of art.
