2020 Maple Festival Postponed

The Maple Gauntlet 5K challenge is the ultimate test of that good ol' Mainer moxie. Where else can you run (or walk—you do you, bub) along the scenic Kennebec River AND stuff your face with not just any whoopie pies, but whoopie pies made with Somerset County's claim to fame: maple syrup?! Come one, come all, and #getwhooped. Don't say we didn't warn ya!
Race Details
Pre-register for $10. On the day of the race, registration starts at 8:15 a.m. and is $15 cash only.
We will have five stations set up along the route (map coming soon!), as well as one at the starting line. At each station, you'll need to eat a small whoopie pie!
We have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as a best costume prize. The goofier the costume, the better. Extra points if it’s maple or whoopie pie themed!
Each competitor will receive registration swag! We have awesome T-shirts available for those who raise an additional $40 beyond the registration fee (total fundraising amount to qualify for a shirt is $50). All proceeds benefit Skowhegan community revitalization projects.
